Dimon McFerson Steps Down from the Olentangy School Board

As school started for Olentangy Local there was some news from the board. Dimon McFerson will resign effective September 30th.

The resignation was announced at the August 25th meeting. McFerson was quoted in the news saying that he has really enjoyed his time working on the school board. The Olentangy Local district has had some significant challenges but the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. McFerson also said stepping down will give him some time to spend with family. McFerson has a son and a daughter who both graduated from Olentangy.

Dimon McFerson’s term was set to end on December 31, 2011. The school district was lucky to have Dimon McFerson for six years. He brought a significant amount of corporate experience to the table. He was formerly the president and CEO of Nationwide Insurance.

The school board will be conducting interviews for the empty seat. The seat falls under Ohio Revised Code.

Out of all the restaurants in Powell Ohio, Liberty Tavern sets the bar. According to the popular website Urbanspoon 82% of the votes are in favor of the restaurant.

1. The staff is very friendly and remembers our family week after week

2. Our family has eaten at the resturant weekly for over a year and we have not had one incorrect order – statically speaking you would expect this at least once

3. The food is hot and the beer is cold

6. Liberty Tavern has the best patio in Powell.

All in all, I would say that Liberty Tavern sets the standard. I would highly recommend this resturant. It has a great family atmosphere and the food is great. You won’t be disapointed.
